I think the Nolan franchise has a bit more life in it yet. It should be good for at least a couple more films. TDK, brilliant as it is, doesn't really bring the franchise to a satisfactory conclusion.

Batman is currently a fugitive from justice and that story needs to be further developed.

July 2012 is going to be a very interesting when Nolan brings it to a conclusion. He said that he wants wrap it up, maybe Batman redeems himself in the eyes of the public and Commissioner Gordon?

Warner Bros won't stop making Batman movies, im sure there will be more in the forseeable future.

I don't think one film will be enough to tie up all the loose ends without short-changing the audience. I think we need at least two more films to do the story justice.

Also, Batman is already on good terms with Commissioner Gordon. They agreed that Batman would take the rap for the murders to preserve the people's memory of Harvey Dent as Gotham's White Knight.

True, if it does well at the box-office, then im sure Nolan would be lured back for a fourth outing. Still, id pay to see a Long Halloween film or even a Hush movie.

Breaking news
1. Nolan is looking for a new female lead role
2. the title for Batman 3 is "The Dark Knight Rises"
3. The Riddler is not going to be in "The Dark Knight Rises"

so here are my choices of villans on who is going to be in The Dark Knight Rises

Kara Tointon (EastEnders) as Talia Al Ghul

Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who) as Catwoman

Robert Llewelyn (Red Dwarf) as Black Mask

Rita Simons (EastEnders) as Harley Quinn (not yet as the jokers companion, but as an intern in Arkham Asylum, Harley Quinn should play a small cameo like Victor Zsasz in Batman Begins)

Villans previously used in Nolans Batman films to return in The Dark Knight Rises

Liam Neeson as Ras Al Ghul

Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow

Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Two Face

Tim Booth as Victor Zsasz

The Dark Knight Rises? Can't say i like the sound of the title, but im still excited! Im just glad that Nolan has broken the silence and said that Riddler isn't appearing, which means new villians!

Personally, id like to see either Black Mask, Hugo Strange or Hush as the main villian, and either Talia Al Ghul or Harley Quinn for the female lead. No Catwoman!

I do not think Harley Quinn should be a villan in The Dark Knight Rises, putting Harley Quinn as a villan without the Joker is like having Spagetti Bolognese without Bolognese sauce. I think Harley Quinn should be in Batman 3, but not as a villan, but as a small cameo as an intern in Arkham Asylum. Anyway, who do you think should Play Harley Quinn?

I kind of like the idea of Hugo Strange being one of the villans in Batman 3, I would Pick Roger Lloyd Pack (Only Fools and Horses) to portray him.

I would also like to see Colin Morgan (Merlin) as Dick Grayson/Robin

True, but id like to see a different riff on Harley Quinn. Have her as some obsessive Joker fangirl who is continuing his dirty work in the wake of his arrest in TDK. As for who should play her, Brittany Murphy would of been a perfect choice, sadly she's passed on :(

Image
Was bored and was thinking about who the best villain would be and decided for Hugo Strange as a psychologist brought into apprehend Batman, and took this image of Tom Hardy (Who has been cast a currently unknown villain) from the movie Bronson because I feel it's look quite a bit like Hugo Strange and put it on the head of a guy in a suit for this faux trailer. Also the line "Whatever doesn't kill you, simply makes you... Stranger" could work well as a tagline as Batman may be having issues over The Joker dying (I am sure it will happen off screen) and Dr. Strange coming in.
