Rewatched Frozen.

Battle in Seattle

A 2007 hard-hitting drama by Stuart Townsend centred around the 1999 WTO (World Trade Organisation) Ministerial Conference in Seattle. Following several different fictional characters over the course of five days, the film examines what started out as a peaceful protest against the WTO descending into a full-scale riot. Very powerful and emotive scenes displaying each persons' perspective on the situation. Definetely a must-see as the events in Seattle still have repurcussions even today...

Junkhearts

A 2011 independent British film directed by Tinge Krishnam. The drama follows lonely ex-soldier Frank struggling to overcome the tremendous guilt of accidentially killing a young mother during a raid. Out of pity, Frank takes in a young homeless 17-year-old Lynette and forms a surrogate familial relationship with her in order to replace the one he had with his now estranged wife (hospitalised with a brain aneurism) and daughter, Chrissie (who has all but disowned her father). What begins as a promising relationship for both Frank and Lynette descends into hell as Lynette's boyfriend, Danny, moves in and takes advantage of the situation...

In the end, a very intimate and down-to-earth working class story that whilst gritty, had me gripped.

Pandoram.

The remaining crew of a futuristic Noah's Ark in space awake from hibernation with partial amnesia to discover that the descendants of the civilian passengers have mutated into a race of inhuman hunter/gatherer monsters bent on killing and eating them. And to make things worse, they have the ever-present fear of being overtaken by a space madness called pandoram. And who in their group is not really who the rest believes to be? Pretty decent sci-fi/horror film.

The Grand Seduction.
Newfoundland set film starring Brendan Gleeson and the stars of the Canadian tv program This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Taylor Kitch Sp?.

After I finish here, I'll go to my neighborhood theater to see Neighbors.

I like the direction that Abrams has taken the series.

Neighbors

Hilarious movie! Despite starring Seth Rogen and having a plot similar to that of Animal House, this was not another "Nerds VS Jocks" movie, but rather a "Cute Couple VS Jocks" comedy centered around a young married couple {played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne} with a newborn baby girl. The couple later has to cope with the presence of a college fraternity {led by Zac Efron} who move into a house next door.

Even though this was a Seth Rogen movie, both Rose Byrne AND Zac Efron stole the show, with Efron proving that he is no longer the pretty boy from the High School Musical movies.

The Other Man

A 2008 drama starring Antonio Banderas and Liam Neeson (who I often confuse for a younger Harrison Ford).

Shoe-designer Lisa passes away from cancer and whilst sorting through her things, her husband Peter (Neeson) comes across mysterious e-mails and a password-protected folder called 'Love'. Peter becomes obsessed with finding this "Ralph" and eventually tracks him down in Italy. From there develops a dangerous cat-and-mouse game between Peter and Rafe (Banderas) and the lurid details of Lisa's affair.

Not the best movie in the world (way too many monologues and soliloquys when the imagery could've illustrated everything much more quickly), but passable enough.

Manhunter

A retired FBI specialist tracks down a serial killer called 'The Tooth Fairy' while seeking info from Dr. Hannibal Lecktor.

Haunt.

Haunted house story. Pretty decent horror film.

Tower of London

1939 Universal movie about England's Richard III and his efforts to remove those ahead of him for the throne of England.
