300: Rise Of An Empire.

The continuing story of the Greek struggle as underdog against the might of the Persian Empire, including a mixture of history (the Brilliant Athenian naval victories), and fantasy (how Xerxes becomes the God-King). Unlike the original movie, at least this doesn't portray the Persians as subhuman monsters and trolls. It may never reach the popularity of the original film, but it's still great adventure, with great sword fighting scenes.

The last movie I watched was Under the Skin (2014). It was so good!

Jacob's Ladder. What a confusing film.

Prisoners.

Hugh Jackman stars in this psychological drama about a father who faces the worst fear of any parent: his child is abducted (along with Terrence Howard's daughter). When the police arrest a suspect with the IQ of a ten year old, only to let him go for lack of evidence, Jackman takes matters into his own hands by kidnapping and torturing the suspect. Not to give any spoilers away, but along the course of the movie are twists that seemingly are dead ends - but eventually tie together in a neat, if horrific package.

The Rookie

Shows the true story of Jim Morris, a Mid-30s High School Baseball coach who goes for the major leagues after his team wins. Despite his age and a past injury, he managed to pitch up to 98 MPH and make his major league debut at 35 with Tampa Bay.

Strangers on a Train

Hitchcock movie where two strangers, one a tennis pro and the other a socialite, do indeed meet on a train and the socialite, who shows that he is murderous, offers a theory on how two people can 'trade murders' and get away with it. A theory he plans to test. . .

I watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Visually very well done.
