You talk about comics and you forgot about the batman roots in the old adam west series back in the 1960's. That series has just as big of a cult following as the comic books. I should know I used to know a guy who lived locally that owned the batmobile used in the adam batman series.

Don't argue with someone who is studying films and knows what makes a good worthwile movie. Oh yeah just for reference as well the ohter day I talked to my film studies class about the comedy side of batman and they agreed with me that the old batman films are better than nolans adaptions.

I got a B and one or 2 A's in most of my film exams at college so I am good at the craft of film. You guys are slightly misguided yourselfs I am afraid to say.

Just because you got a B and one or two A's in most of your exams doesn't make you perfect. Your the biggest misguided, arrogant, holier-than-thou idiot on these forums. Go and do one, seriously.

PS: Your lecturers smoke crack too!

of course you are bad. your idiotic comments prove you are not good with films

Oh yeah by the way the majority in my class including my film lecturer all thought that Burtons adaption of batman was better than Nolans.

people who think that are usually kids who grew up in the '90's who haven't read a single comic book in their whole lives

They also said that Batman Forever was just as good as Batman Begins.

then they are just idiotic

I actually go to one of the best colleges in the country so they must be quite smart.

In Batman Forever at least the two face story was not wrong and poorly developed.

Wrong on both counts: Read the Long Halloween, the scarred side of Dent's face is exactly like the Long Halloween. And at least Aaron Eckhart doesn't go OTT like Tommy Lee Jones.

based on what you said, obviously not

no jamesy. in Batman forever they messed up the two-face story. tommy lee jones's two-face was not true to the character AT ALL. he wasn't even burned, just cheesy makeup. also, he keeps flipping the coin until he gets what he wants. in the dark knight, he looked burnt and flipped the coin only once and acting based on the result of the coin (heads: good, tails:bad)

jamesy, that two-face comment proved your total ignorance

You know what also your not taking into account that it wasn't fully explained that is why batman liked harvey dent, and that is not how harvey dent became two-face in the comics. I know someone who is a comic fan and he told me this yesterday.

Like I said the Dark Knight is a far cry from the masterpiece you think it is.

DUH! The side story of Bruce Wayne wanting to give up the Batman mantle was he thought Harvey Dent was his natural successor without the need for wearing a mask. Deep down, Batman secretly respected Dent.

In the Long Halloween, the two join forces and burn down an old warehouse containing millions of money. Obviously, in TDK we saw The Joker burn it all himself. An obvious homage, don't you think?

Neither was Vicki Vale or Dr Chase Meridian. FAIL

heath ledger was fine but that isn't joker. joker doesn't wear clown makeup in the comics he wears human makeup to cover up his chemically-altered face.

You do realise that you see the Joker WITHOUT the make-up when he poses as a guard at Commissioner Loeb's funeral? And don't compare Ledger, Nicholson, Hamill or Romero, it's pointless.

too long, too dark as i wanted it to be slightly more kid friendly and more light-hearted than it was. i was bored for parts of it. it was a little too violent. sure, batman beats people up, but that part at the beginning with fake batmans with guns and even the prisoner with the bomb in his stomach was a little too much for me.

Awwww, poor baby..... I watched it 3 times on it's release in 2008 and i was entertained from start to finish. Not once did i flinch at any of the violent parts.
