I love that show and have most of the episodes on dvd. My mother watches it too. I find it funny.

I don't think I would like to own every episode on DVD, I have this weird thing where when I buy a TV show on DVD I only like to have some of the episodes instead of all of them, rather it's from the first season or just a few random episodes mixed together. I think it's because either I like to sometimes watch the show on TV or because I like to pretend like the show doesn't have an end. That's why I want to try to get the Family Guy: The Freakin Sweet Collection on DVD, it has 5 random episodes on one disc which were hand picked by the creator of the show as his top 5 favorite episodes. I currently have it on a UMD disc for my PSP but I want to get it on DVD too so I can watch it on my bigger TV screen.

I watch it sometimes, but it's not nearly as clever as I think Seth and the writers think it is. I don't think Seth is all that creative anyway. Shot for shot Star Wars parodys are not creative. People have been doing that since Star Wars was created. He also made the same show 3 times. Family Guy,American Dad,and The Cleveland Show all pretty much follow the same beats.

I want to make a punchline that leads to a cutaway gag, but that sounds too juvenile.

what about a million ways to die in the west and ted?

am a huge fan of family guy and american dad [probably AD more so] although didnt like the star wars episodes, not a fan of starwars.
loved the episode where they took the piss out of breaking bad/brian cranston who was 'walter white',it showed him in real life coughing and then been given an award for it.
bob odenkirk [saul from breaking bad] has also lent his voice to episodes, can remember seeing it come up in the credits.

the marvel film 'guardians of the galaxy' seemed to be very much seth mcfarlene meets sci fi/fantasy.

Today I watched TheMysteriousMrEnter's Animated Atrocity review where he tore a new one out of an episode where Chris teaches his grandfather how to masturbate and then Peter tried to make Chris to get married to him. As usual they can't go more than 30 seconds without cutaway gags that can really make you gag, like Peter running into the room with blood dripping between his fingers, and Lois asks him where he got those testicles he's holding, and Peter tearfully says he doesn't remember.

This show has sunk so low the Titanic looks down at it.

Speaking of religion, I've been playing The Simpsons tapped Out game and after I unlocked Rod and Todd Flanders one of them became addicted to the sugar in Squishies. He goes to buy more of them at the Quick-E-Mart and says he wishes Apu believed in real God so he'd be able to serve Squishies in Heaven. Apu tells him how sickened he is by what he's just said but then just says "Thank you, come again".

I think it's a fun show, what I've seen of it. Like South Park they don't take anyone or anything too seriously, and I like that.
