Gary's become a bit of an ass since he learned he could use his disability to justify acting like that. Hopefully, the new staff all moving up to the third floor (hinted at at the end of the last episode, and no, it's not a spoiler because it's not a plot point) will give Rosen the chance to help Gary calm back down again. (Although he's probably going to be rankled about that pudding for a while, and I'm not sure I blame him...)

I have, however, begun to wonder why Bill engages in standard foot chases (albeit with his speed enhanced by his exceptional strength). Why not just use his strength to pull a Hulk and jump, say, a block at a time? Surely that would have to be easier on his heart.

Yes, true. But I actually liked seeing that side of him. Going all angry about seemingly (at least for most people) unimportant things.

I wonder what they'll do with Nina. Something must happen to bring her back and maker her use her abilities more carfully.

In Gary's defense, he was, after all, sent to building 7 and had a chip put in the back of his head. I mean, I'd be pretty cranky for a while if that happened.

I wonder how Rosen is going to solve being a "guest" of the FBI and not having Cley taking over at the last minute and killing people and such? Maybe the alphas will use their powers to trick out the Cley? And what will the FBI's counter-move after that be? They almost seem better off joining Red Flag at this point.

And, I wonder how long before their new 3rd floor office is destroyed or trashed in some way? Their security deposits must be mind-boggling.

Anybody seen the new episode "Alpha dogs"?
There's a girl who watches martial arts movies and learns how to do it just by watching. This reminds me of the martial arts movie Chocolate; it's about an autistic girl who learns how to fight martial arts styles by watching movies. I bet this is no coincidence given the overall Neurodiversity theme of Alphas.

Yes he was. That account popped up a couple of weeks ago, and some fans thought that might indicate they planned to bring back the character. However, I think it's just a clever way to indicate that like everyone else, Gary's abilities are expanding - now he doesn't just receive and interpret EM signals, he can transmit them too.

Thanks, that's a good explanation. But why would he write such thing? Because he wants to carry on with Anna's convictions? That's how he honours her?
I think there might be more to it than that. Writing wouldn't do much.

It seems like everyone's abilities are increasing. Take Nina (or at least I think that's Nina, I'm talking about the one with the manipulation *coughGeasscough* abilities). The part of the episode I saw, she was trying to use her power to reveal someone's suppressed memory. That's actually one of the most positive uses of her power I've seen thus far. Usually her ability is somewhat negative because it robs the target of their free will, albeit temporarily, and Nina has been known to abuse it in the past.

I, for one, was really glad to see Gary was sort of back to himself in this episode. I really didn't care for angry Gary.

It was a bit disturbing to see Dr. Rosen lack his usual overriding concern for the team members' well being, with his experimenting on Kat and pushing Nina to use her ability as soon as she got back.

Oh, and I thought it was illegal to live in an area that isn't zoned as "residential," but Gary did say that it was temporary until he found an apartment.

True to all of that.
Especially, I also thought " Is that even possible?". Living in a non-residential building? I don't think it is. Apart from, there are no showers. How did he shower himself?

I just watched this on Netflix, and I thought the very same thing. I think maybe they took Amanda's "in my language" a bit literally.

I knew the way Anna communicated was not realistic, but language is her superpower, despite her apraxia of speech. I didn't have a problem with that.

I liked that episode made a point that being severely disabled does not mean needing to be completely dependent on someone else at all times. I was actually annoyed that Dr. Rosen was going to have Anna taken out of her own house and institutionalized without even researching her situation, and I was glad that she specifically addressed that point (that she can handle her own affairs, not a direct response to Rosen) later in the episode.

I also loved that a neuroatypical woman with a severe disability got to be a chief antagonist. I am not sure I would qualify her as a villain, but her goals were opposed to those of the main characters at the time they met her.

Has anybody seen the last episode? That was not a real end, was it?

Season- (well, half-season-) ending cliffhanger. Interesting that Gary seems to be immune both to Nina's "pushing" and the photic stimulator - would they affect the same regions of the brain?

Just found this show a few days ago, and just saw the season 2 finale today. I do hope it gets renewed for a third season.

Shame on me for necro-ing a thread but I just found this on Netflix. I wonder why Big Bang Theory gets all the attention (or at least many threads) but this seems to be the only thread for this interesting show. The writers put some actual thought and research into the character of Gary and that is rare.
