Jamesy you haven't read a word any of us have said have you? You claim to be so intelligent yet you skip over any little part you don't like or want to read. I know there are many people who are Batman Fans that don't read the comics. But the ones that claim to know what Batman is or should be that don't read the comics are the ones that get to us because they have no right to say how Batman should be if they don't even know the source material. But you are so arrogant and up on your high horse that you can't accept that people have different views than you and that a hell of a lot more people who WERE NOT comic fans enjoyed The Dark Knight more than Batman Forever.

seriously jamesy, shut up. xenu, spot on

Imagining this thread 20 years later

Jamesey: I am right
Me, Batshit and Lexington: NO YOU AREN'T!
Jamesey: Whatever, Batman Forever is the best movies ever Nolans movies are dull and I want to make love to Val Kilmer so bad!

This thread is going to go on forever exactly the same way... We are in a circle -_-.

Well he can loose weight. If he did then he would be great for the role. In his day he was the ultimate batman.

1. its spelled lose not "loose". loose is the opposite of tight

2. he was never "the ultimate batman"

Well according to Bob Val Kilmer was the best. Yes Bob Kane WAS the creator of the comics you guys worship.

I would love Jason Stathem to be batman.

Kilmer wasn't a terrible Batman... But he wasn't amazing either. And just because one character is good doesn't mean the movie is by any means good.

Bob Kane would be turning in his grave if you so much as desecrated a Batman movie with your ideas.

Jason Statham as Batman? AHAHAHAHAHA! You make Uwe Boll sound credible!

When are you ever going to realise that we're taking the piss out of you?

Funny you guys are making fun of me becasue none of you guys really have much of an idea about what makes a genuine good movie that will appeal to everyone. Nolans bat films are for goths and emo's in my opinion.

You know something Ledgers character in the Dark Knight actually reminded me of the two face in batman forever in the way he spoke and acted.

no, we are making fun of you because you are stupid. jason stathem as batman, right. as xenu said,

Sure movies are there to entertain but they are also there to make you think, or to get a point across. I honestly believe if you go into film we will have another Uwe Boll in our hands. You honestly don't have the slightest clue about film or what makes them good or enjoyable. You seem to be the type of person who isn't able to comprehend anything more than explosions and fart jokes. You may be attempting to go into film but that sure as hell doesn't mean you know anything about it.

no, they are for hardcore batman fans. schumacher's films are for queers and 5 year olds. and what is your fascination with batman appealing to kids? you are 20 years old, right?

no really not. i don't know what hallucinogen you were taking at the time, but they are NOTHING alike. jones was over the top and silly. ledger was sadistic and scary. ledger was 10 x better than jones

Well at times Ledger sounded like Tommy Lee Jones character.

Jason Stathem although he is not the best actor really does look the part.

That's a narrow-minded stereotype, don't you think? I had a goth ex once and she loved Tim Burton's Bat-movies when i was at college. And Tommy Lee Jones was basically a Joker reject in Forever, Ledger used the characteristics of Alex DeLarge from Clockwork Orange and Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols for his Joker

Order of quality:

Begins
Dark Knight
Dead End
Returns
Mask of the Phantasm
89
Forever
Robin

Just my two cents.

In that list you just single handedly insulted a lot of bat fans by putting batman returns further down the list. Its not my favourite bat movie but many bat fans would agree that is the best bat film so far in the Franchise.

Nolan is a dull person and a dull director and he is not even fit to lick Burtons boots. Batman Returns should be at the top of the list.

I really don't understand the appeal of the Dark Knight and why people think its the best bat film ever? Crazy.

Christ, are you on your period? I do watch Returns from time to time and it's in my top 4 fave Bat-flicks. Even though Dead End is a short fanboy film where Batman encounters several Aliens and Predators, it was at least a decent cross-over attempt.
