ah yes, those were the days, before computers, when IBM selectrics and mainframes were the rule. when PC meant neither "personal computer" nor "politically correct."

Things have actually become worse. Now it is ordinarily 8:30 to 5:00 (taking into consideration the one-half hour unpaid lunch break), and often worse.
