Could/does 'Red Dwarf' count as a sitcom?

In each episode they're in a completely different yet equally funny situation, pretty sure that's what a sitcom is

To name a few...

Notable sitcoms I can think of that I like are;

Red Dwarf,
Blackadder,
The IT Crowd,
and Fawlty Towers..

Blackadder!! How could I have forgotten that?!

Red Dwarf and Blackadder are my favourites, possibly my favourite sitcoms on a global scale actually. ^.^
Aside from the few sitcoms i've written I can't really think of many more i've seen/like, I don't watch many sitcoms...

I watched a special on Red Dwarf, they call themselves a "Sci-Fi Sitcom."

So - yes!!

I love Red Dwarf. My favourite characater is Rimmer.

We watched that a few times in my history class last year. It's quite funny.

I've not seen many episodes of Spaced, Fun at the Funeral Parlour, Red Dwarf, The Royle Family, Black Books or The League of Gentlemen but I've liked the ones I've seen.

(Most others I can take or leave.

I actively dislike 'Allo 'Allo and Dad's Army and I positively detest The Office.)
