The 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is, in my opinion, better than the original.

Also like John Carpenter's remake of The Thing (actually it's one of my favorite sci-fi horror films).

Out of all the remakes, the 2007 remake of 3:10 to Yuma
was very entertaining & suspenseful, with vague references to the Iraq War.

I also liked this year's remake of The Karate Kid,
the reason why this remake is longer than the original
is maybe because the director wanted the story
of the lead protagonist to be "epic" and "dramatic."

In regards to sequels, obviously Toy Story 3
and Spider-Man 2.

Same for the second Pirates of the Carribean movie.

For best sequel, I'll add The Fantastic Four - Rise Of The Silver Surfer.

And I can only repeat, the best remake goes to The Thing, which is one of my favorite all time movies! :D
