Good trailers for otherwise bad movies

Congo- Haven't read the book, but I first saw this trailer a long time ago on my old Forrest Gump VHS. At the time, I crapped myself. I had to get it. Then I saw it. It bloooooowed.

Honestly, I couldn't begin to find examples... because it's standard to do this. I mean, we kinda assume that a trailer has all the best bits in it unless it is just that good (eg. Pixar, who save the best bits for the film). I think you'd have a more manageable task if you asked for movies that actually lived up to their trailers!

I'll try to think of some movies that I really wanted to see because of the trailers and was let down, though... I know Harry Potter movies have done this time and again. And Forrest Gump. Wanted to see it. Finally did. Why?

Not movie trailers as much as DVD trailers, and some range from bad to just mediocre, but there are a number of DVD Coming Soon trailers for various Doctor Who stories that are excellent.

It is like the trailer of harry potter and the deathly hallows.

I think it was called Cursed - you know, that werewolf movie made by Wes Craven, starring Christina Ricci. The only good parts of the movie were shown in the preview. All the rest of the movie was crap.
