Saw DOTM Spoilers Ahead
I just recently saw Dark of the Moon today and I thought it was very good. I will be honest it does have a couple of flaws such as the acting which is slightly more improved from the first 2, the running time and some stupid pointless characters that make you kringe e.g. that korean guy(thank you Laserbeak for killing him), John Malkovich, Simmons assistant and Sam's parents, but as the moves on their easily forgetable. All and all it's was worth watching and it's definately better than ROTF and probably the first one too. Sam Witwicky is a more likeable character, but can still be quite annoying sometimes. Lets just saying I was routing for him when he was in that fight with Dylan who was a quite likeable villain at times. Sam's new girlfriend Carly may not be as hot as Mikaela but she's certainly more likeable, though sometimes it sounded like that accent of hers is badly imatated. Simmons is a more likeable character too, but like Sam he can be quite annoying but was more interesting to listen to when he was crippled. Lennox and Epps were always characters I liked and their pretty much the same. Frances McDormand's character was unlikeable at first but then became more likeable in the end. Optimus Prime has and always will kick ass, even in ROTF and Sentinel Prime was an awesome character, it's Mr Spock for crying out loud. Megatron and Starscream may not have done much but they still rocked. Shockwave was hardly in the movie at all which was kinda dissapointing, especially since he was suppose to be the main villain. I guess that was a lie to drive us away from the true villain of the movie. Still I wish he had a bigger part though, he even had his own teaser poster. It was definately more darker and mature, not dark and mature enough though. There are scenes in the film that kinda drag though, action and non action scenes that is, but is worth watching. It's not a brilliant movie, but it's a good one though. I would say that Director Micheal Bay has reedemed himself, but he's not quite there yet. He's said that he won't direct any more Transformers movies which is probably a good thing. If there is a fourth movie on the way, I'll definately check it out.
