In the movie, I decided to pause it when Yomiko is reading the part of the book with the sheet music on it. I went to one measure and copied down the notes as best I could. I then put them in Noteworthy and made a Midi out of them, but I'm not sure where I'm supposed to upload it.

The Midi sounds sort of like the third movement to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, but it's much more dissonant. When I listen to it, the image of boulders rolling relentlessly down a hill comes to mind. Perhaps y'all can listen to it too, if I know where to upload it.

:)

You could probably find a free host somewhere online if you do a search for one. I'm really interested in hearing it. But wait.. is this the "suicide song"..? Perhaps you should not share this information over the internet!

It sounds like an orchestra falling down a flight of stairs to me

All right, I am going to listen to it.

But if I die, let this post be a testament to my death. :P

Edit:

Ok, so it's a few seconds later, and I'm not attempting to strangle myself or anything, so I think it's all ok.

I don't know much about music (probably nothing at all), but it sounded nice/decent to me. It's hard to tell with such a small excerpt, though.

Civet and Stevie Hardy,

Ja. It's just one measure in what I assume to be a 4/4 piece. Taken from the handwriting on the page right before the title page that says die "unsterbliche" Liebe when Yomiko opens it. It's the one in the biggest handwriting. It was a bit hard to read, and I can't guarantee its accuracy one-hundred percent. It seemed to have A minor chords below the bass clef (at the very bottom of the piano's range) alternating with A's at the bottom of the bass clef (in eight intervals), and then it had a melody starting in the bass clef going all the way up to the top of the treble clef. It seemed dissonant to me, because the melody didn't seem to be in A minor. Hold on, I think I can get the notes to y'all. I'll upload it to the same source. Here it is:

Check it out!
