Cool DVR tricks?

Is it possible to soft hack a DirecTV box to make it appear as if a certain show was recorded but have something different come up on playback? I have a sort of a 'social engineering' experiment I want to try. Strictly for entertainment purposes (my own )

I don't know but if you can do that, go ahead. Sounds fun at least for you.
