Not Another Teen Movie question

This question is for anyone who saw Not Another Teen Movie: did Reggie Ray die? I've seen the film a few times, and I always assumed he died after Jake blew his winning football pass and gave him one last concussion, but the extended version of "Prom Tonight" on the DVD explains he's really in another coma. So, did he die in the final cut of the film?

I wouldn't wax over this scene too much since the movie is a parody in and of itself.

I don't think it ever really says if he dies.
