For me, I consider shows like Terra Nova to be underrated. Yes, much of what has been made in the last decade and the beginning of this decade has been absolute crap, however Terra Nova is not one of those shows in my opinion at least. It's probably going to end up like Firefly, darn it I wish people would give it a chance!

I disagree. The plot, characters and acting are ridiculous. There are far better shows out there.

Well, maybe not in sci-fi. I'm no expert.

I can't actually think of any shows that are underrated.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers is. It's such a great show. And it gave such a great message, too. And still today, Cap remains the only environmentalist superhero. The closest anyone comes so far are my characters who are based on the Planeteers and my writing just isn't good enough to publish. The Planeteers, as the real heroes on the show, are just the kinds of heroes kids should look up to. It really does make you think. I mean, if my parents were smart people, and we used solar power, just how much would we save both in nuclear power and money in only one month. In one week, my brother also fills up his trashcan(he likes to buy bottled water in small bottles). It would be so great if it would be brought back.

Nova: Science, pure and simple.

Partners: (相棒 - Pronounced "Aibou") Japanese crime drama, sometimes with English subtitles.

America's Test Kitchen: The best, most straight-forward cooking show on TV.

As the Kwisatz Haderach of TV shows, The Venture Bros. would be underrated regardless of how much praise it receives.

It's kind of an old show, but I think Courage the Cowardly Dog was severely underrated. In my opinion it was the best original cartoon made for Cartoon Network, the show was drawn in a very creative way and it had some very likable characters. It was basically a parody of horror films but it never came close to crossing the line for a kid's show the way The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy did. Yet even as an adult I still find this show to be funny and a little smart, not like all the stupid cartoons on Cartoon Network now days. I'm really suprised this show didn't win any awards or last a long time, but I guess the fact that the show only lasted a few years is a good thing because it remained a great show until the end and it didn't get all stupid the way Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Spongebob Squarepants did.

Max Headroom, it's intelligent, creative, and spoke volumes about society that is relevant now and it had a great cast. Also Space: Above and Beyond

I love Community. I am so mad it is going on an indefinite hiatus after Christmas.

There was a good science fiction show made in 2005 called Charlie Jade that didn't receive much publicity or media attention.

Firefly & Jeremiah

I just don't understand why those shows didn't run for 6 or 7 seasons.

Blake's 7. At it's best, adult science fiction ahead of its time. At it's worst, well, at least it's entertaining camp.
