Um, that's Johnny Depp, not Tim Burton. Tim's the director.

And while you're at it, let's throw in some Danny Elfman music! My opinion: Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Danny Elfman=the holy trinity of film.

My question is this, though: Helena Bonham Carter is by FAR the hottest actress who can ever pull off a Tim Burton role. So why-the-freek is the Red Queen such an unsexy character? OK, that heart-lipstick thing... That was hot. But that was it!! !! Come on, Tim!! !

LOVED that movie, though.

I love the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. It matched the mood that I had, when it came out, on the big screen. It's a very cool movie.

But I do love Tim Burton even when he doesn't pair with those two. His artistic vision very much meshes with mine.

I absolutely ADORE Tim Burton and his movies! He's truly an artistic genius; I wish I were as creative and talented as he is. I love how his movies have a dark/creepy atmosphere, but they're not depressing, and the characters aren't necessarily evil.

When I was a kid, I loved Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice. I rediscovered my love for Tim's work in late January of this year, when I watched Edward Scissorhands. Now my top 5 favorites are, in order:

1. Edward Scissorhands
2. Alice in Wonderland
3. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
4. Sweeney Todd
5. Sleepy Hollow

I personally think The Nightmare Before Christmas was the peak of Tim Burton's achievements.

I agree, I haven't enjoyed his other movies as much.

I've enjoyed Batman, Batman Returns, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I also didn't mind Mars Attacks! and Alice in Wonderland. And once, when there was a birthday party that required me to be dressed as a celebrity, I didn't have any idea who I would come as (I had dismissed the idea of Doctor Who, as I didn't have the right clothes), until inspiration seized me. Dark clothes, a false ID card in a lanyard and a folder filled with movie posters, and hey presto, I was Tim Burton (I have dark curly hair that resembles Burton, although I don't resemble him that much, except for the tired-looking eyes).

His Batman movies were the best. The rest were just trying too hard. Alhough I did like The Dark Knight.

Anyway, Tim Burton is awesome. I can really relate to his Pin Cushion Queen.

I am like the ULTIMATE Nightmare Before Christmas fan! I've Loved it since the tender age of 5. I have tremendously high ammount of Nightmare Before Christmas Merchandise. One of My friends described being in my room like walking into a Nightmare Before Christmas Store.

I enjoy Tim Burton films. Hopefully his style doesn't become so popular that everybody tries to rip him off. I hate it when people turn into sheep just because something different suddenly becomes popular.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I had a real conniption fit the last time one of my special interests suddenly became popular.

On an unrelated note - I think I'm going to save that picture of Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett at the beach and use it as an avatar during the summertime.

Really liked Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, and Ed Wood (a really fun one, Martin Landau played a great Bela Lugosi).

I saw the new Alice movie, and I liked the visuals and the character designs, but I actually kind of LIKE the idea of a series of sketches about unrelated characters (which Burton tried to avoid with this version). It's like a Coen Bros. movie, where there's a loose plot, but it's mainly an excuse to write skits about a bunch of different psychos.

Tim Burton's one of my favorite film directors of all time (next to Sofia Coppola)! and what a coincidence 'cos last Sunday i got to see Alice In Wonderland. his artistic vision is dark & surreal; i find that very appealing!

Has anyone read his 'The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy'? It slightly rips off Edward Gorey but it's still good
