I may be late in noticing this. I may be wrong in thinking it's a specific reference instead of just a silly little moment... But...
I was watching this video because it never gets old... one I've loved since I was around 13 or so (which explains a lot about me... such as my fondness for overbites):

and as I watched John leaping around John at about 2:12, I realized I'd seen this somewhere. A lot. Recently. Right down to the one guy playing guitar and the other leaping. It was my favorite moment in this:

at about 0:45. I'd always liked that bit, and my kids even call me in to see it because they know that. And now I know why I like it so much. It reminded me of something but I had no idea what.
So, anyone... coincidence? Is this something seen more commonly and I just missed it? Or is it so TMBG that it's a definite reference to them?
