I loved this children's programme. Yet I remember watching it on CBBC or BBC... in the 90s.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clangers They didn't speak, they communicated via whistling.
Strangely just thinking about it, just maybe it was aimed for those with difficulties.
I'm like the only one around this age and the generation that has seen this programme.
I loved the Clangers too. I particularly liked the whistling noise that they made. When I was a child I had a hot water bottle cover that made the Clanger whistling noise, which is quite an eerie noise to hear in the middle of the night. Last year I found a toy that made the same noise and bought it.

I loved the Clangers and I watched it in the 70s when I was a tiny little kid.
I used to take my recorder into the bath, every bath time, and play it underwater. Pretty good Clangers impersonation.
I must have another go at that.
