Community, from the limited amount I've seen is more catchy.

I got twitchy with BBT after a couple of shows. I didn't dislike it, but it just didn't float my boat.

I think I could watch all of Community but I dont have a TV or any packages and I only saw bits of 2 or 3 episodes at a friend house. Is it worth buying? ITunes might have it I guess.

I love both shows, but I can watch BBT episodes over and over and over again.
Jim Parsons is hilarious and his Sheldon antics never get old.

I thought one meant the actual community. But there is a show with that name?

Yes. It airs on NBC on Friday nights.

I voted Community. Although I think that BBT is funny, too, the whole concept of Community is really wonderful. So many hommages, references, spoofs...etc.

For those saying they haven't seen Community; see it! I haven't met anyone who has watched it and then not like it.

Plus, Abed is the best aspie on TV. They make slight exaggerations at times, but nothing like BBT. They manage to keep nice balance between aspie reality and aspie comedy.

Here's a follow up video where Abed attempts sarcasm.

They're both great, but BBT wins for me.

me niether.

Why juxtapose those two particular shows?

The characters on BBT are notoriously aspie-like, so is "community" also populated by aspie acting characters?

Or what?

Well, as mentioned, Abed has some very noticeable Aspie-like traits. In fact, Abed has a very strange habit of going off into his own world, as depicted in several episodes. One time, it was Christmas, and he saw everything in stop-motion animation.

Community only has one Aspie character and that's Abed. All the other characters are all different and exaggerating certain other (non-AS) traits.
The thing with Community is that it makes references to popular culture but unlike BBT, it also makes spoofs, hommages and other more complex references. The character of Abed is key in those since his special interest is popular culture (especially, movies and series).
The character of Sheldon is also very if not the most important part in BBT but for other reasons.
