My favorite one is Ricki Lake's new show which was recently cancelled after one season.

I grew up watching proper, serious talk shows like Parkinson and Wogan, where they'd ask decent questions and really give you an insight into the lives of the celebrities they had as guests. The last talk shows I saw were Graham Norton and Johnathon Ross, and were pretty pathetic by comparison. These days all talk shows seem to be is second rate comedian hosts joking around with more often than not equally shallow guests. Just one of the many reasons I don't have a TV.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Martin Bashir, Bill Maher. If they have interesting people--->Leno, Kimmel, Ferguson.

Sometimes I would catch Dr Phil if that is considered a talk show. I used to watch Jerry Springer but it was all the same. Sleeping around, affairs, etc. I think it was all an act. I used to watch Maury too.

My husband and I were on Jenny Jones in 1994.

I used to really like those daytime talk shows. I remember when Oprah first started and her's was one of those with the callers and and audience who commented on the guests situation. She was just like all the rest of the talk shows back in 1988. I think that was around the time that those kinds of talk shows were getting popular. I also remember Jerry Springer before he got to be so camp and such a satire of the talk show genre.

The Daily Show, and Colbert Report are still my absolute must watch list. If I just want background noise, I'll turn on one of the umpteen courtroom shows that are on nowadays. I used to watch Jerry Springer for laughs, but just can't stomach that stuff anymore.
