Well if you are, the movie finally comes out this year.

Yeah, was reading about that... Nicole Kidman as Ms Coulter oughtta be awesome.
Sam Elliot as Lee Scoresby is, imo, an utterly inspired bit of casting.
I deeply and sincerely hope they (producers, director, hollywood in general) don't screw it up.

and they're going to make all three movies.

so they better do good with Iorek. and Lord Asrael. and Lyra. and Will. and Pan.

I love this series, overall. I wasn't a fan of the last book, though--The Amber Spyglass. Love the other two books, though.

His Dark Materials is so awesome and The Amber Spyglass made me cry at the end.

Why do they insist on making the ending sad? Screw being noble and self sacrificing, i'd tell them to get lost, good thing i'm not Lyra.

I hate tragedies, especially when they can't be prevented, the biggest tragedy of all though is that yet another book i like is going to be ruined when it is turned into a film that does not do it justice, I'm going to have to stop reading.
