The American Pie movies are some of my favorite comedies of all time. I don't really care much for the spin-offs like "American Pie Presents So and So", but I like all of the main movies like American Pie 1 and 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion. The jokes about how awkward sex is are really funny to me and I think that all of the characters are likable in their own way, including Stifler. My favorite scene of all has to be the Bachelor Party scene from American Wedding.

So, anybody else here like these movies? :)

I've never seen any of them. I sort of made it a point not to see any of them, actually.

I was in high school around the time they came out, played the flute in the marching band and, according to some people, looked a lot like Alyson Hannigan, so, well, you can imagine. I'd be a lot richer if I had a dollar for every time someone came up to me and said, "This one time, at band camp ... ," then got all giggly and walked away.

I guess a lot of other people must like them, though. They sure were popular.

I'm sorry you got teased like that. :( But actually Hannigan's character Michelle is my favorite character in the movies, and I sometimes wonder if the people who made the movies had somebody with aspergers in mind when they created her character, because she seems like a typical aspie to me. And the "This one time at Band Camp...." recurring theme of her character makes me think of how aspies (myself included) tend to obsess on the same subject over and over. :)

No biggie, I'd forgotten all about it until the other day when I saw this thread. And, it was sort of good-natured. Maybe. lol

Well believe it or not my family teases me about that same thing. Like whenever I'll try and tell them a story related to one of my special interests (aka aspie obsessions) they'll look at me and say "And this one time at Band Camp". I know they don't mean anything bad by it, but I kind of like it because I think it kind of proves to me that Hannigan's character really does have aspergers, which is why I like her. :P

Oh, wow. You got me curious enough to look at a few clips on YouTube and, yeah, that pretty much was me in high school, minus all the lewdness. We even had the same hair and everything.

So, I get it now. Guess I can finally have closure all these years later.
