Along with the announcement a pic was shown of the silhouettes of Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles



Personal Opinion: As a Sonic fan I'm excited and a little nervous as this has the potential to be good in two ways. One, it takes on the same tone Colors/Generations did. Two, it goes more for a SATAM style. In the case of Colors /Generations it would have a lighter tone ad setting with good action, well written dialogue, and good characters. In SATAM's case just imagine the previous example with a darker tone and setting, and less humor However if they try to be too much like the Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog or the first 52 episodes of Sonic X it could suck. In the case of Adventures it would be too goofy and mindless. In the case of X it would be incredibly boring and butcher some great games.
I'm also concerned about the shadows shown as it could indicate a massive/horrible re-design of our favorite characters, I mean look at Knuckles he's HUGE. However I'm hoping this is a intentionally done for exaggeration purposes (considering that they're simply shadows) and not how the characters will actually look.
