Has anyone managed to sit through the whole thing? I wasn't able to. I jumped around through various scenes. I, of course, watched the beginning and the ending. I can the handle the blood and killings from a slasher movie or the violence from a war movie, but prolonged brutal displays of abuse and cruelty are too much for me. Nevertheless, it is an outstanding film.
The circumstances of Solomon Northup's death are still unknown.
