Please tell me if Full Metal Alchemist is good or not. I've got many mixed opinions about this anime.

Well there are actually to different series of Full Metal Alchemist. One is just called Full Metal Alchemist, the other Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, the later is usually considered the best of the two, and it is pretty good.

Both versions or pretty good, but if you only watch one I'd go with Brotherhood as it was far more interesting and IMO just flowed better ( and has a much better ending )

Yes, both the old and new are good. Also there is a movie tied to Fullmetal Alchemist, which I enjoyed.
