Wow, it must be getting very good reviews. Let's hope the cast can keep it up.

This won't end well.

In my opinion, TBBT is already on the edge of no more ideas. More and more episodes are just lame.

Sooner or later it's going to run out of steam.

I agree it is running out of steam and getting predictable, but TBBT reruns are still more entertaining that 95% of the rest of the crap out there. Hopefully tonight will be entertaining. I love the looks Sheldons mother gets from the rest of the guys when she goes on her "jesus" rants. You know, cause they are scientists and think she is whackadoodle, just like Sheldon.

A couple years ago when South Park was renewed until 2016 everyone said the same thing. Don't see it losing any momentum yet.

I'm glad to hear it, for the reason alone that I'd rather have Sheldon Cooper as the face of Asperger's, rather than Adam Lanza.

Sounds like good news! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the gang's antics, especially Sheldon. :)

But the creators of the show make no claim that I have seen for Sheldon being an Aspie. It seems the Aspie community has claimed him one of their own. To me, he is very gregarious and extroverted for being an Aspie. Other than those two things I do find a lot of familiarity in his character. Especially in the Ball Pit.

I don't know if he is intended to be a geek or a nerd, but geeks and nerds are not typically the same thing. He seems to be both.

I know what the producers say, but I'm inclined not to take them at their word, as they might be fearful of the accusation that they're making fun of Aspies. In fact, Sheldon is based on a real person who was a computer programer, and who fits the bill as an Aspie.
As for Sheldon being gregarious and extroverted - well, it has to be remembered that we Aspies can learn social skills, though it takes us slower to do it. I can easily imagine a younger Sheldon lacking even more of the social niceties that he does today.
