Everyone, watch the film "Koyaanisqatsi"

I watched a film called "Koyaanisqatsi" today and I was blown away. This movie might not sound very appealing to you, I thought the same thing about it but it absolutely blew me away.

Just to warn you, this movie might cause anxiety in a person with aspergers.

I watched it in the 8th grade. It was pretty cool.

Hmmm, I didn't think they would show that at school. Which class did you watch it in?

It was a science class.

I figured it would either be geography or science class. Did you feel hypnotized while watching this film? I found that it was very hard to look away. The DVD was sitting beside me, so I decided to pop it into my computer and watch it. I was only planning on "previewing" it but I ended up watching the whole thing. Most of the film made me experience anxiety but I still liked it, sometimes fear feels good for some reason... The movie was a great cinematic experience but it also had an important message behind it.

I suppose it tried to say something profound about modern society, but to me as a European it just looked like a travelogue of the USA with weird music.

I own both it and "Powaqqatsi" and have to say of the two of them I prefer "Powaqqatsi" From the very first scene it stole my heart and breath away. It will sure humble you down if you live in a developed country also. Certain images from it are burned indelible into my mind, and if you liked "Koyaanisqatsi" you should definitely check out "Powaqqatsi"
There's also a third movie in the series but I forget what its called.

I dont think ive sat through either of them all the way through. perhaps when my weed-tincture is ready...

I have seen Baraka, which is similar. Many people say its better (which is probably why i havent seen the other films yet)
