Well, someone told me Death Note ends with Light killing off everyone except himself, but then again, not sure how reliable this source is. If it were true, having it happen around December 21, 2012 would be an interesting allusion to the Mayan prophecy.
I put my money on Light killing everyone except him and Misa, then they procreate to start off their "perfect world"
