Sort of creepy. I am on episode two and I have already made connections between myself and Dexter Morgan, God I can even remember his name... That never happens...

But really. At one point he was floating in the water, and some teens went by on water bikes... He said "They can laugh and play, it seems so natural to them." I almost hit my face into my desk when I heard that. I think it's pretty funny though. I think stuff like that all the time. Though it's normally more "How the hell can they do that so easily?"

Anyone here watch that? I'm not drawing any conclusions about anything for this show. But I thought it was pretty funny and was a good way to start the topic.

I just heard about Dexter Morgan, and I read the first book written on him recently, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, which the first series of the show is based on. I think you can guess who my avatar is.

Dexter is officially my favourite show ever. I've seen both seasons and I'm on the third book (not as good as the first two, so unless you can get it from a library I don't suggest you buy it), and it's just so awesome and addicting. Seriously. They make you like a serial killing sociopath. How?

But, yeah, if anyone hasn't seen the show--go watch it. Now. Seriously, best show ever, unless you can't stand goryness. It isn't really that gory, though...

they've just started to show the first season on CBS, and only three episodes later it's one of my favorite shows(how they make a serial killer you relate to is just good writting) but I wish I could get showtime so I could see the new season.

I find it funny that I just finished watching Dexter season 1 off of Netflix yesterday.
Then I saw Quartermass' avatar and spot this thread.
I didn't know that there was already a season 2 and 3 coming out already.
Sweet.

It is kinda disturbing to be nodding at a lot of Dexter's inner monologuing. Right up to the point where he starts thinking about killing someone. It is a little jarring to be agreeing with someone and then a second later definitely not agreeing. Quite an interesting show and I loved the end of season 1.

You can watch it on Netflix or on the showtime website (Costs $$), or iTunes @ 1.99 per episode.

with my internet speed 50.6Kb/sec it would take two to three days to download a hour long show, plus I don't have the money

I love Dexter. I definately find it a bit unnerving how much I think like Dexter.

One thing I have learned though, never never try to explain how you feel about something by comparing yourself to Dexter. His experience of something may very accurately reflect your own experience, but say that and some people start wigging out. It was pretty funny to watch them though

I wouldn't feel bad about comparing myself to somebodies ficticious idea of a sociopath. . . particularly one who treats the people close to him better than almost any real people do. . .
