Have you read the book? The book was excellent, and I've found that film adaptations rarely live up to the quality of the books.

No I haven't , Are they really good ? I have been looking for a new book series to read . I have read some of J.R.R. Tolkien's books .

Interesting fact you might know, C.S. Lewis was good friends with J.R.R.Tolkien .

I have heard they didn't stick to the books but I think the movie was excellent!

Yes, I knew Tolkien and CS Lewis were good friends. The Narnia book series is excellent; I found it more interesting than Tolkien personally. There are quite a few Biblical/Christian allusions (CS Lewis was also somewhat of a theologian, in addition to an author) but even if you don't share Lewis's religious beliefs, the Narnia books are very well-written and interesting stories.

I listened to the audio tape (on my trip with my uncle, who's quaderpedic...you know what I mean without good spelling, and he had the whole series on tape), and the book was EXCELLENT though I have no clue what the movie will be in standards :D

Having disliked the first "Narnia" film and having not read the books, this isn't at the top of my "To See" list, but I do definitely want to see it. I like the trailers and I've heard it's way better than the first "Narnia" film.

More to the point, I've heard it's got a ret*d bear! XD

Saw it. Liked it.

Tension-release dynamics seemed stale, but the execution was much better than the first one, and I daresay far and away above PJ's melodramatic cliche ridden LotR trilogy.

Overall did a lot of things right compared to similar movies and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Is it true Prince Caspian
is supposed to be better than
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe?

Because the first Narnia movie was
nothing more than really awkward allegories to Catholicism.
And the girl who played Lucy was tolerable that time around.

The movie did have awesome VFX though.

Except that CS Lewis was Anglican, not Catholic.

I really liked both though.

I haven't seen it yet (I don't think they've released it here yet anyway). I plan to see it, though.

I just hope I like this one better than the tLWatW-movie, though, because I really didn't like that one. :?

My mom and I saw 'Prince Caspian' over the weekend and I thought it was pretty good. I still think the first one's better, though, IMO.
