Just finished a two week binge of the entire series so far.

Why didn't anyone tell me sooner that this show was so damn good?

Season three episode "Subject 13" is among the best things I've seen on network TV. Especially the sequence showing the tests performed on Olivia.

And John Noble's range as Walter is incredible. In the space of a single episode you can laugh at him, fear him, and feel immense sympathy for him.

Other fans?

HUGE fan! Welcome to Fringe Division :)

I don't understand how more people don't love this show. I'm currently on the hunt for a t-shirt and hoodie with the glyphs on it. I am waiting for this last season to be over so I can buy the whole show on DVD.

Yay...someone to talk Fringe with!

My wife and I absolutely worship Fringe! For both of us, our favorite character is the mad scientist, Walter Bishop. He keeps us both in stitches, and yet he is such a complex character - madman who can melt our hearts with his pathos for having lost a son, and the better part of his life, and his sense of guilt for creating the situation where two universes are facing catastrophe.

Add me to the list of Fringe fanatics! I agree, Mr. Noble is an amazing, amazing actor, and the character of Walter is one of the best on TV, I think. I love it when he goes from his usual self - pre-occupied by food, sometimes unsure of himself, to a towering figure - i.e. one of the last episodes of last season where we catch a glimpse of future-walter as resistance fighter, or (from season 2 or 3 I think) where he takes on the doctor from the CDC:

"I have extensive experience with pathogens"
"And I was chairmen of biochemistry at Harvard, and have little tolerance for small-minded beuracrats!"

Yes I love this show too, its always an adventure. I think they've done an excellent job with the shows lore and the writing always has room for fun and innovative new takes on classic pseudoscientific themes. Also the music and sound effects are always a class act.

I watched this with my father (also Lost for similar reasons) to scoff at the "plot".

The last season was pretty messed up, I don't know what they were thinking with those retcons (I mean "plot reveals" ) and half-baked story lines.

Also, the episode they threw in so they could set up for another season looked really tacked on.
