Anybody here like "Freaks and Geeks"?

I have Asperger's Syndrome and my obsession with Freaks and Geeks started back when it was on the air on NBC in 1999. It was also the same time I first discovered Linda Cardellini (who played Lindsay Weir on that show). Even back then, I thought she was gorgeous and looks like she is around my age range as I was sixteen and seventeen when the show was on the air.(Linda was 24 at the time, but she looked like she could actually be mistaken for an actual high schooler like 17-18 years old). At the time, I did not even know Linda's name, so I knew by her character's name Lindsay Weir.

I did not tell anybody about F&G obsession because one it was on Saturday nights during that time and second I did not want to risk getting picked on in school for liking a show that during the time of the show's run was considered to be "My So-Called Wonder Years" because it was a mix of misfits and nostalgia which my peers could care even less. Linda was (and still is) one of the hottest and cutest brunettes on TV and she made last TV crushes I had like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Katie Holmes look like ugly skanks. If F&G were the Beatles, then Linda would be Paul McCartney because not only is she cute, she is talented as well.

When I saw her again on those Scooby Doo movies she was in (while babysitting my niece Autumn) playing the bespeckled short-skirted Velma, I did not even notice her behind the wig and horn-rims at first, until my newfound obesession with Linda began with the release of the F&G DVDs. Not only was I obessed with Linda, but I was obsessed with Judd Apatow (and has not stopped since) granted Paul Feig created the show, but Judd made the show work (IMO). I did not mind Linda as a blonde when she first was on ER from seasons 10 & 11, but she looked at her worse on seasons 12 & 13 when she went out of control on the proxide. When Season 14 rolled around, she is at her best looking since Freaks and Geeks. I do not know about you guys, but I do not find bleached/dyed hair women attractive. In short, Linda looks at her best when she stays natural as a brunette

This is the same show that I first discovered Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Jason Segel as they are real funny in their roles as Lindsay's new friends in the "freak" group. I also liked the geeks as well except for John Francis Dailey who played the main geek Sam, he gets on my nerves sometimes.

Freaks & Geeks is great. I missed most of it when it was on tv, but I watched the whole thing about a year ago. I prefer the Geeks to the Freaks. It's such a shame that it only lasted one season, but it's also nice that it's a self-contained thing & didn't drag on until it got bad. Did you ever watch undeclared? another Judd Apatow sitcom, set in college, with alot of the same actors, Seth Rogen, Jason Segal etc. I can't remember if that actress is in it, as I'm not obsessed with her.

Linda Cardellini is not on "Undeclared", but she was going to be on the show if they had a second season as Jason Segel's Eric character's new girlfriend to make Lizzie jealous. Linda and Jason were dating real life shorty after "Freaks and Geeks", but they broke up in 2006

To answer your question, yes, I have seen Undeclared and I thought it was a worthy follow up to Freaks and Geeks. Undeclared was a little uneven at times, but it makes up most of its ground thanks to Seth Rogen and Segel.

I wish Linda would be at least in one Judd Apatow film as maybe Seth Rogen, James Franco, or Paul Rudd's love interest. Who knows may be she will be back with the Apatow gang after her run on "ER" this season.

Yeah, I like F&G, especially the D&D-scenes.
