Well, well, well, finally, after 16 YEARS, I have come to this place. And my excitement is immeasurable. (I somehow don't show it but I am bursting with energy right now)

Hello to all! I'm a teen with diagnosed Asperger's and suspected ADHD. I'm wondering if there are any people here on this site who are like me, so I'll lay out my interests and hobbies.

I have an intense interest in Dandy's World, which is a mascot horror game largely known for its incredibly well made cast of characters, and once you see the fandom (the good side, not the icky side), you can tell why it attracts a lot of neurodivergent folk.
I'm also into tornado sirens. I guess it's just because of how much there really is to look into with them, what with their history, different models, sounds that I like (I kid you not).
For hobbies, I have 3D animation, which I'm trying to turn into a career, and recording tornado siren tests (which is INCREDIBLY difficult to do because where I live has almost no sirens nearby).

So, um, yeah, that's me, and if there's anyone like me out there, say hi!

Hi there! So glad you are pumped up to be here! Tornado sirens? That's quite interesting! I have a deep interest in storms/weather including twisters but haven't thought much about those blaring eerie sounding alert horns. We don't have them where I live (though small tornadoes can happen)

I'm Autistic, not ADHD...and only learned that when I was 64.

My bride is ADHD, not Autistic...and that was discovered when she was quite young.

However, I frequently tell her she should get an Autism upgrade. She dismisses that idea.

I'm not young.
I have several Asperger's diagnoses.
In the latest DSM (which is now outdated), it's a category of autism.
It depends on the severity of the situation.
Mine is moderate, but combined with other issues, I have a severe disability.
Where I could have succeeded, I improved in other areas; for me, that's impossible.
Paradoxically, I have a high non-social IQ, and my social IQ is certainly not high.
It doesn't affect my IQ, but my social skills.
It has comorbidity with other issues, usually depression, even just dysthymia.
However, social anxiety.
You're at an age where you can improve your social skills greatly. I adopt the copy-and-paste system and make my own what I can, becoming masterful.
You give me a very positive feeling.

Welcome to Wrong Planet ..hope you find this place enjoyable to visit . Always thought Tornado Sirens were massive .
Saw one surplus once , but the scrap metal value was too high for me to afford . Where I live ,we get tornado sirens
going off several times a year . If for no other reason that to just test their system. Always reminded me of the old WW2 movies, air raid sirens . During their bombing raids.
