Hiyas,

I've been off job searching, worrying, and my cousin most recently started a family tree project.

I have a very disconnected family on my dad's side, where of course I suspect Asperger's comes from.

Today I found out that another cousin may have it as well.

Between job searching and genealogy, I've been to pre-occupied to come visit you all.

Did someone mention Bingo?

Time standing still is an understatement when you're waiting for the damn ambulance to travel the freakin 20 miles to get there. Wasn't the only time, I mean when my kid went down. It happens every damn time I some how find myself in those situations. I shake after it's over, I don't understand it. Scared while it's in that endless wait? You can bet your last bingo chip on it. And you never forget the ones you loose. But when you win, it's never you that did it. It's always us. And that "us" is the truth. But I can never bring the us in to it when I felt I could have done something different after the fact. Some kind of character flaw I guess. Like some kind of self flagellation.

I sure prove I have character flaws around this joint don't I.

When I saw him get hit, I did something I haven't done in 2 years....... I walked over and asked another mom if I could bum a smoke. There was a 5 minute span while they were first assessing him that I was on the sidelines. I smoked the whole damn thing...... probably a good thing, it took some of the panic off. I think the coach thought we were a little odd when I got there and the first thing the kid did was crack a joke, to which I responded with another one. The shaking happened at around midnight when I finally had a chance to sit down and re-hash the whole accident! Yeah, I'm a little slow in my reaction time apparently!

I haven't been following the Olympics but sort of hard to avoid, you know the news and stuff is pretty much everywhere and in this house SwampBlossom is into it. (Merle, she was very impressed with the whole drum thing too) I haven't been wondering around WP as much as I use to and may have missed someone putting this up before. Michael Phelps is ADHD. Yeah he has now won more gold medals than anyone else in the histroy of the games, but we know how he did some of it, don't we. He turned it around to work in his favor. A true champion.

Glad your kids o.k. that is a scary feeling. It has also been proven that time actually does "slow down"( more like the body's ability to asess EVERYTHING speeds up) during moments of high stress and adrenaline rushes. Watched the experiment on the Science Channel. I find our perception of "time" really intriguing.
Reading about your cigarette after 2 years made me somewhat envious. It's been a year and 8 months and there's one here my oldest daughter left and I eyeball it every day. I should throw it out but I seem to enjoy the torment of its beckoning. It makes me feel strong. But it sure sounded good Blessed Mom. Yummy nicotine. I still think they smell fantastic, When one of my customers walks in stinking of cigarette smoke, I ask them "Do you smoke?" and their face drops cause they think I'm gonna make some derogatory comment. You should see their demeanor change when I go up and sniff them and tell them how they smell like ambrosia from the Gods. They always love hearing that and its true from my point of view.

I will not tolerate being called a bogartier. Half of Woodstock would have been smoke free on Sunday if I hadn't been the good Boy Scout and brought a lighter. I almost ran out of inhales, almost, I had to do my duty. Allow me to give this joint a light.

Now should I start the fire in the left hand corner of this joint, my left, or the right hand corner, someone else's right. I say let's burn the joint down and have very merry unbirthday party. Anyone here named Merry? If there is, you're going to loose a year or two. I'll bring the muffins and SPAM(TM). The squirrels will just follow me in anyway. The bats in my belfry never leave, they are my friends.

Oh Yeah!! ! I forgot to tell you all!
Last night it was my distinct pleasure to wait on a couple who shot documentaries for the National Geographic Channel.
If your unaware of my "little dream" of having a picture published either online or in the mag your lucky I haven't bored you with it.
They were SO nice and after I told them that they are the reason that I got cable, (which is the truth!) He said they'd send me some T-shirts. I gave them my PO box address. We shall all find out if people from National Geographic "say what they mean and mean what they say." I have faith that they do but I'v been disappointed so many times previously by humanity that I'm not gonna hold my breath.
They were telling me that its not glamorous at all (not that i would think it would be) and the wife was saying she didn't get any sleep for 5 nights straight because the monkeys wouldn't shut up and her husband kept making her get up to go see the baby turtles hatch and then crawl down to the ocean.
Tuff life in some aspects maybe but that sounds like a cool job to have to me.
