That I don't know, but I suspect, as with many other theories or Ideas, that it is simply one of the many theories written and under debate as to the nature of Autism and other Autism Spectrum Disorders.

I myself question if he even knows as much as is claimed in that report, since there are no eyewitnesses to the lifestyle of Neanderthals. And even if some did that or they find evidence of it, it could be just that, that only some of them did these things. The evidence presented is very shaky both about Neanderthals and their connection to Autism. However it was one of the sources I have come across that discussed the adult relationship nature of the intimate field of ASDs.

I think there are probably a few more but I would have difficulty specifically pointing them out. I think it was one of those things I saw a few places on passing through and never made a mental note of where I saw it. But you could try some of the staple ASD related websites, and you may find more before I do.

There is Oasis website part of the udel (University of Delaware) webpages.
It has many links in to. You could go to Wikipedia and look up Autism or Aspergers and find many links there. Or Austimsociety.org or MAAP. Or just use key search terms with Asperger or Autism on google.

I hope this helps. I will get back to you if I find any more such links or resources about the post XVIII year intimate relation issues.

Thanks! I'm especially most interested in finding out about this correlation between gender dysphoria and Asperger's. I'll check out UDel's website.

Hi there Cornice,

I'm a female - to - male transsexual - I started transition 2 years ago.

I'm NT, but display a fair few typical AS behaviours - however, never to the point where I think I may have Aperger's, more to the point that I just don't fit in to "normal" society. OCD (repetitive mannerisms, counting, spotting patterns, fear of getting ill), and being incredibly socially awkward is probably a respone to never fitting in and needing comfort, as opposed to the behaviours being the cause of the social awkwardness. I don't know. ANyway, I digress.

There is a hell of a lot of gender variance in the world - and those of us that do reject traditional gender norms do seem to be very different from most people.

Anyway, do reply if you want to.

Robin
