That's really great, I'm glad you like it here! I've always lived in the U.K, but I enjoy travel and seeing other countries. I'd love to see Australia one day!

Yorkshire looks like Wales. Uhmmm. Did they see Wales and copy it? Haha. Oooh. I could be in Yorkshire and think I was in Wales and get lost. Then I would need to use my special rule. "You can't get lost. Impossible. Wherever you go, there you are. Simple!

Which part of Queensland are you from? I've been to Brisbane and Toowoomba. Not a great deal. I'm from the west though, just south of Perth.

Thank you . Yes - I have 2 ragdoll cats(half brother and sister). So beautiful! Lovely to meet a fellow Ragdoll owner. What did you name yours? ❤️ the unusual fur, very rabbit-like. Sweetest natures, although the female is the opposite in nature to the usual easygoing, gentle ragdoll. She was super feisty from day 1 Charlie is referred to as Mr Smooth, as all the ladies love him, and he shows a definite preference for females . Hope you get to Oz someday. I loved Amsterdam, as well as Norway in the dead of winter, knee-deep in snow.

Hi renaeden - I’m from Brisbane originally, though I’ve lived in Qld, ACT, and Victoria. to visit Perth some day. Have never been, but have seen some amazing photos! Pink lakes and quokkas! I almost moved to Perth once. How is life there? So good to meet a fellow Aussie .

no doubt, they copied ... The funniest thing for me was sitting in an outdoor hot tub, with the views and sounds of bleeting sheep coming at me loud and clear upon the hills ! Funniest thing ever! Also, in the name of all that’s holy, what were those weird stinging flies that attacked my legs as I wandered the Dales? In Oz, we have stinging ants, not flies !

Do you mean horse flies?
Easy to deal with them... For relief, kill one, then all the rest will go to the funeral.

I figured they were horse flies, but their bite was more lethal than jellyfish larvae, which I’m very familiar with, so wasn’t sure. Will keep that advice in mind. Hope today went smoothly.

My fiance, Neuro typical I think someone without aspergers is called, would say don't ask a question like that lol..but he's not around at the moment..he's an army officer, we live on base in Puckapunyal, VIC and he's just left on exercise and left a note asking me to not just only eat cornflakes for 3 weeks...ah, sorry I go on a bit.

So good to meet you, CG ! Welcome to WP! Yes, I’m here intentionally and was eager to come ... although I certainly have Defence Force links, they weren’t my reason for moving over. Puckapunyal!! I had a friend do some army time there. He would drive down to the ACT just to spend weekends, friends only, but great guy. He had a very bad view of the Army, and eventually got out. I know what it means to have a fiancé in the services(mine was with the RAN), and we were together for a few years, reconnected recently, but I didn’t want to rekindle things. How long is your fiancé on exercise for? I remember doing a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, letter writing, phone calls, etc to share time together. It was an incredible time, great memories. Wish you both a world of love & happiness. Though it’s good to have breaks from each other, it can be tough. Enjoy those cornflakes ... and don’t worry, I quite like your weird hello ... shall message you tomorrow.

I bet having two is lovely haha, Mr Smooth is adorable . my Bertie is the first Ragdoll I've had (I had an ordinary cat previously) and is only 4 months old but is so lovely and gentle, but also loves to play (I hope he keeps his playfulness as he gets older). I can't imagine it without him now he's a seal bi-colour .

Thank you, I hope so too . I went to Norway then, too! Never saw so much snow before which I loved (I generally prefer the cold to heat- I want to visit again, and visit other cold countries! ).

Thank you! Bertie sounds gorgeous ... 4 months ... I loved that age. They were so playful, and followed me absolutely everywhere(they are the most dog-like breed of cat in existence!). They would climb up my leg and back, to be close to me while I cleaned dishes, wouldn’t leave my side. Slept on a small quilting my desk, while I worked/sewed at home. Love them to bits! They loved that cat toy(da bird), the feather toy that sounds like a genuine bird in flight, and it gives them plenty of exercise as they jump great heights trying to reach it. Kirby(a tortie) & Charlie(seal point mitted) are both 6 years old now, and just as playful as ever. They adjusted very well to Archie(the dog I fell for in Crete who was homeless), thankfully. I created an outdoor tunnel and condo setup to allow them outdoor access, that’s safe, via a cat flap in the laundry here. They run in and out of it quite a bit during the day, and that way they have access, can still see me if I need to do any yard/pond work.

Yes, I too love the cold countries. Although, to be honest, having come from such a warm place, I still love the heat as well. I’m doing a road trip next year in late Spring, taking in San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. I’ve spent a lot of time on the West Coast, and can’t wait to see more of the Pacific Northwest. Yes, Norway!! I’ll try to post up some photos, some time soon. If you have any, and are able to, please share. Would absolutely love to see your views of Norway. I have a male friend who lives in Fredrikstad. He’s moving over this month to further his acting career. He loves the UK! Thanks again .
