Hey guys im Steve. So my whole life ive been the shy guy, but I was also very good at sports so I was popular enough. However I didnt have a gf until I was 20. I did have numerous encounters with girls, but all under the influence of alcohol. When I was young I had trouble making eye contact. Numerous symptoms I know. My question is tho that I am a psy major and great at reading people and predicting behavior. Is this possible for someone with asp? also, noone has ever suspected me of being autistic, however some noticed depression. Tomarrow I will see the Psy.
also. Ive always studied and collected certain facts and names, starting with insects and dinosaurs at age 3.

You could just be shy. It's been known to happen. Or maybe PDD-NOS, so some autistic traits, just maybe missed the social cluelessness somehow.

I'm sure the evaluation will help clarify things a bit, so that you can start to develop strategies for dealing with this messed up event called life.

:D

Following your desire to know the facts is a grounding process. Whatever the outcome, it's understanding that propells us towards self acceptance and having a life u r in charge of. All the best Steve.

Hey b9, that sounds positive and psychically nutritional. I've never ( in my short time of learning about ASDs) pictured the spectrum like that: 'autism is a state of being that goes to the heart/inner core of things etc'. At least, this is the picture that sprang out to me when I read your phrase.
