Hi, my name is Morris. I'm a computer scientist living in Washington, DC. I'm not really sure if I have AS or not (I've never been diagnosed), but I think I may have it because I've always had problems with people, especially of the female kind, but in general too. I can't seem to know what they're thinking and feeling, which has led to a great number of misunderstandings in social situations, yet I can instantly see where the problem is in a computer program. In addition to computers, my interests include coin collecting, amateur astronomy, and ballroom dancing (only kidding about the last one). I also do volunteer work for an organization called CASA. I'm an avid reader, particularly of non-fiction and science fiction. Being a little bit older, my favorite music is from back in the '60s, such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones; though I like some of the new stuff too, such as coldplay. My favorite movies include 2001, Edward Sissorhands , and Things to Come, by HG Wells, which I first saw when I was 3 or 4 and left an indelible impression on me. Largely because of my social awkwardness and inexperience, it is difficult for me to make friends, and I would appreciate hearing from anyone who shares my interests.
