...so hi
Well, I'm currently finishing up the second year of a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Psychology, which people seem to think is rather intense when I mention it. It's certainly had its difficult spots but mainly I've loved getting to study two of my biggest interests. Less academically, I'm pretty good with general knowledge and believe I'd be a good addition to a team playing Trivial Pursuit. I enjoy various TV shows such as Boston Legal, House, Outrageous Fortune [an NZ black comedy/family drama] Farscape, Firefly [SHAME fox] and Heroes [when it's not rubbish, season 1 was good and it's slowly been redeeming itself since midway through season 3-IMO]. I'm something of a gamer also [PC and Xbox 360-love RPGs] and a big reader, lately of Richard Morgan's Takeshi Kovacs novels and Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy

what else?..... hmmm
well, as my mother puts it, I was "offered the diagnosis" of Asperger's at around the age of 7, although she's personally on the fence over whether I have it or not, I'm rather definite. I have a fairly major hand-flapping thing, in fact it's their default setting so I tend to keep them occupied by having them firmly in my pockets, holding something or have my arms crossed when I'm around other people. I also used to [and still need to to an extent] pace up and down endlessly manipulating an object with loose moving parts and telling myself stories, nowadays I just need an appropriate object in one pocket to touch occasionally, just to know it's there even if I don't pace with it. I don't especially like light touch [actually I rather strongly dislike it] but love deep touch like hugging. Socially, I'm good enough at picking stuff up to simply seem eccentric and I seem to accidentally make acquaintances. I do have a fair few actual friends, and they're pretty much awesome.

I've lurked on this site for about a year now and I join now having finally gotten around to it, I'm actually rather surprised at the number of kiwis on here, it's... kinda cool to see I'm not alone in the country as well as not alone in the world

um, yes, anyway that's a bit about me, hopefully it's informative and I didn't ramble too much about anything, hello, then, everyone...
