A few years back I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. I didn't really know what it was... but I decided to do a little bit a research on it and discover some facts. I believe the things that stand out the most of my Asperger's traits are getting attached to things and using words that many consider to be "another language". My research, however, has enabled me to cope with a lot of the setbacks that I was born with and actually fit into the crowd... even though deep down I'm fairly different than everyone else. I'm in debt to the African-American community greatly as they were the first to accept me before I figured out how to fit in socially... not to mention they'd beat the crap out of anybody that messed with me  . I also took TaeKwonDo to help develop my motor skills that were quite poor before. Eventually, I was able to recieve my Black Belt, but what mattered was my poor motor skills that was attributed to Aspergers dissapeared and now I'm even able to play basketball for my high school thanks to my improved hand eye cordination.

Anyhow, I am a 17 year-old attending a private school in Columbia, South Carolina. My main hobby is probably Video Games. I love the RPG Genre, especially the Final Fantasy titles. Anyone that plays Final Fantasy XI, let me know. I also find First Person Shooters (Half-Life 2) and Real-Time Strategy games (Starcraft) interesting as well. Another main interest of mine happens to be cars. I love the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and have been wanting one for 6 years now (Aspergers trait... I can't let go of it!). My final main interest is also Football and Basketball. I love the South Carolina Gamecocks and I play basketball for my high school as well.

The main reason I probably decided to come on this site is to cope with some difficulties I still have... particularly in the romantic department. I've had my share of girls and things almost click, but the "social game" you have to play from them is absolutely vicious when you got Aspergers in my opinion, and I always tend to get depressed when things go bad as they usually do. Right now, I am in pretty heavy contact with a very attractive girl that was adopted from Russia when she was 8 years of age (she's turning 16 April 5th now), and I can already tell I'm getting attached to her. Hopefully, with some help, I can actually date her when all is said and done. Another reason for registering to this site is to help other people with Aspergers Syndrome, as I have come a very, very long way and would love to share my success and knowledge with other people that need it. I look foward to getting to know people on the site, and until then... Peace.

And, just for the heck of it... here's a pic :) :

If you feel you can help others by sharing your experiences thats great. And I suggest reading threads from the relationships forum as this may help you. By the way hi and welcome to WP. :)
