Greetings everyone! After having spent the last few months reading the posts on WP, I have finally decided that I ought to give back to the community and post some responses of my own.
It was only recently that I was made aware of my ASPIE diagnosis. It's amazing that after almost 65 years I finally discover why I am the way I am and have been for all of my life! Oh well, better late than never I guess.
I have been moderately successful in my career as an engineer, but it required a LOT of time and effort to acquire the necessary learning and social skills to get there, with a lot of failures along the way. And we won't even mention relationship issues! They are almost a complete lost cause. Perhaps some of my experiences will be of help to others here on WP. I hope so. After all, many of you have helped me without ever knowing it!
I want to thank all of you who have posted on WP and will post in the future. It is a big help to a lot of people, even if you aren't aware of it! And to those of you who are not native English speakers, I would like to say congratulations on your excellent command of the language. I just wish my German was as good!
With that said, I'll quit while I'm ahead and post more in the future. (I hope that this posts OK, because I'm heading for the Submit button! :)
