Hi, I am in my early 40's and recently diagnosed with Asperger's. My wife of 17 years now says she wants to leave me. I am struggling with the diagnosis, although I agree with it, but also with the fact that my wife has moved out. My whole life makes a lot more sense now, but my wife apparently does not want to wait for me to learn to deal with my new diagnosis...I need to talk to someone who may understand... thanks.

That sucks man. Sorry about your troubles. At least your emotionally competent enough to have gotten married. A lot of people with our condition don't seem to get that far. Personally, I've never had a relationship last longer than a month and a half. I'm only 19 so maybe that has a lot to do with it, but all my friends seem to have had at least one seriously relationship by now. All mine end pretty much end because of how I am, and sadly I think it will stay that way but at least now that I know have asperger's I can work on it.

Wow, sorry that happened--that does suck.
