I guess I have High-functioning autism but in honesty, the professionals only said I had mild autism. I think it tends to very depending on what can push me off the edge. Anyway, I'm also diagnosed with Anxiety/depression, ADHD, mild to moderate mental retardation, a learning disability and a little bit of hearing issues (Basically I hear things I DON'T want to hear but I can't hear things I do/need to hear.) I am also a ten year old inside of a twenty-one year old's body with the emotional development of a two or three year old.
My whole purpose to come here was to see if I could get help for an anime convention that I am going to. Because the guy who's running it refuses to provide me any accommodation except letting my mom stay with me as a caretaker/caregiver. You can find my topic about it in the haven called, "i have a problem'.
Aside from that, I can write very well because it helps me explain things better. My verbal skills are fair though sometimes when I haven't to explain something verbally, I can't always process it correctly in order to actually explain the situation. Yet, if I write it down then I could write you a whole book about what is own my mind.
I also have a short attention span and often times I can get so absorbed in something, literally forgetting who else is around me. I have some issues with sensory problems such as unexpected touch or loud noises like sirens, babies crying, motor cycles... that sort of thing. I do get upset about change as well like how myspace is changing things rapidly and I'm suffering with it because they refuse to help me. I do have a lot of routine things I must do, especially at bedtime. I have to have my computer on playing music to help me sleep, my tv on mute to give a better light source since I am a bit spooked by the dark, having my favorite scarf and my Axel plushie with me to sleep, and all three of my fans on.
If you want to know more, just ask.
