My name is Derek.

I was born with autism, lost my speech for a year at age 3 and had tremendous difficult socially as a child. I gradually improved over time, and now, I am almost completely recovered. While I am socially well now, I still make occasional mistakes and still have difficulties. I currently have a mild case of Asperger's and I am very obsessive compulsive. I'm a prolific writer and an avid reader. I'm very idiosyncratic. I am interested in philosophy, politics, history, psychology, economics, math, debating. I love listening to music, though I am not very good at the arts.

I extend my friendship to all.
