My name is Fielding. I live in the midwest U.S. and am slowly but surely growing tired of hiding my ASD. But most of all, I'm tired of being ashamed. Hello, online community.

Lil' bit 'bout me:

a.) I'm not a neurotypical but I'm also not a 'typical' aspie (whatever that means). Through a lifetime of social embarrassment, I have trained myself to be somewhere between NT and Asperger's on the spectrum. This actually makes it relatively difficult to convince people, both NT and AS, that I am indeed autistic.

b.) I'm a FTM transsexual and have been on hormones for months now. I use my experiences of being both trans and autistic to write terribly frustrated poetry and draw terribly frustrated figures.

c.) I can't get enough 30 Rock. Tina Fey's self-depreciating humor is totally relatable.

d.) I struggle with intense guilt. Specifically after I stim. I stim all the time.

All that aside, I'm excited to be here!

I think you will find that there are no "typical" aspie's here. We are who we are regardless of the label.

I'm convinced that you have autism. One less person in the world to convince

But make yourself at home here, enjoy the company and when you feel like it participate in the forums.
