40 years and nobody ever thought of it. Granted my grandparents still thought of neurological troubles as a stigma
and my parents should never have been allowed to care for a hamster much less children but still. 142/63 and 35 on
the 2 main quizzes plus 20th percentile on the emotional quiz. Did well on the "read the face" test, but my first instinct
on many wasn't on the list of choices and I had to really think about several others and since in the context of an interaction
if you have to really think about it it's too late that test seems to me to be useless.
3 weeks ago a friend who'd worked AS kid or kids said something and wjile I'd have laughed it off under other circumstances
considering the source I looked into it. Flashbulb is the best I can put it. I'd been previously diagnosed as BPD but this is
so much more precisely accurate im still in shock. Explains SO many situations I've run into repeatedly it's unbelievable.
I'm not really comfortable claiming a label as such, but zero discomfort accepting and being up front when needed about
some of the problems I run into to people who get close to me. That's whn someone has the patience to. Generally takes
people, women especially, months at minimum to figure out I'm not a danger, I'm just not reacting how they'd expect.
I'm very lucky in the friends I've found with at least a couple who've managed to walk right through the unintentional
barriers. Even recently had the experience of being able to read someone instanly with no learning curve. Just the one
though. Not sure why or what I was seeing that I got it right but still. Anyway, hey howdy to all and I'm glad to listen and
offer any strategies that have worked for me in the areas I HAVE managed to make strides in.
