Hello, I'm new here and would like to introduce myself with this post.
I am in my forties and not diagnosed (yet, waiting for an diagnostic appointment), more or less "well adapted", so that many people who don't know my twenties our youth don't believe me to be an aspie/autistic. Nevertheless AQ is high, EQ/SQ is "extremely structured" and so on. You name it.
My lifelong struggle to achieve this level of adaption and worsening trouble with burnout, depression, meltdowns and shutdowns, or whatever: it tells, that it can't be that easy. That's why I seek assistence and why I am not too confident with ADD explaining enough (which we work on since some months, and where I found out about aspergers).
During my study about ASD resources of course I stumpled across WrongPlanet (what a great metaphor!! !) and when there was a forum issue about musical instruments, I could not resist to register 
So I'm here.
I'll be really happy if there are ressources about the specific trouble adults run into, and how to deal with it, when their compensational sources can't cope with the requirements any longer, since this seems not to be covered in most textbooks.
