BTW, South Park is great.
I live in Colorado Springs, which is the closest major town to South Park. Some of the buildings in the town are modeled after Colorado Springs. The mayor is based on a political figure we had when the show was first aired (and yes, she was/is that stupid).
One thing I love about the show is the 1% jokes and references that only somebody familiar with Colorado would get. For example, Casa Bonita is a true to life restaurant, and laid out exactly like the episode suggests, with cliff diving, black barts cave, etc etc. The food is rather blah, and certainly loses its appeal for those over 10!
The Scott Tenorman episode where Cartman takes a bus to Fort Collins is another well done piece. When he gets off the bus, he steps out onto an immediately recognizable block of Fort Collins. Few shows, especially animated shows, show this attention to detail.
