Hello.
I don't know if I really belong here. I heard about autism for the first time about 5 years ago. I met some people in a chat with Asperger-diagnosis and I liked to write with them. It felt natural to write with them, less complicated then writing to the others. We wrote a lot about our experiences in school and how to conquer "social situations" (fx. small talk). It was the first time for me to meet others, who also had problems with these situations and prefered to do things alone.
My parents often forced me to meet other kids, when I was young, but I prefered to just be alone and do things like reading about genetics or repair computers.
But what I'm quite good at, is taking other peoples point of view and I have no problems "understanding" bodylanguage.
The more I read about AS, the more I find things fitting me and just as many things that don't fit. So I don't know where I belong.
After all, I'm looking forward to read and write here
